Memoirs, Music, Magic Wands, and Mischief

Memoirs of my life as a child, an immature young woman, technical professional in the ’70s – ’90s, piano teacher, magic wand maker, cat lover, and indefatigable endeavorer.

Lotus Land Op. 47 No. 1, 1905, by Cyril Scott, Played by Edie

I think of this piece as my theme song. It sounds like how I usually feel—a slow, steady, stabilizing part imposing structure over another part that occasionally seems to go berserk!

Watch the YouTube video of this piece, if you like.
NOTE: The glissando is not the end of the piece!

Memoirs

Miscellaneous memoires of my life that were outside the scope of COMING ABOUT.

Music

I don’t think I would have survived this long without a piano. I believe every child should have music lessons. I have played the piano since age seven and taught love of piano from September of 2000 through the winter of 2006. Teaching piano was one of the best and most rewarding things I’ve ever done. See a few old pictures and recordings of my first piano students.

Videos on YouTube of me playing a couple of my favorite pieces.

Magic wands

I’ve been making lighted magic wands since 2017. They’re fun, but if they really worked, my memoir would already be published and this site would be perfect.

Mischief

Miscellaneous endeavors. I’ve nearly driven my husband crazy since 1983 with all the projects I’ve gotten into. (They usually require his help with something he is not the least bit interested in).
